Womb ships are small, single-use interstellar spacecraft used by missionaries of the [[lore:bright_way|Bright Way]] in their quest to find intelligent life among the stars. They are so named because their interiors resemble yinrih [[lore:womb_nest|womb nests]], with metabolic suspension capsules along the interior walls likened to amnions lining the interior of a womb nest.
