A retribution field is a type of force field that absorbs the kinetic energy of incoming projectiles and projects that energy back at the attacker in the form of a pillar of light and concussive force. Retribution field generators come in a variety of form factors, from disposable granades meant to be tossed toward the attacker to systems built into powered armor.
