The ring is worn around the tail, and the tail can execute 3-dimensional gestures like flicks, swipes, and twitches etc. Tail rings are favored when walking since it's easier than hobbling on 3 legs with a keyer in one paw. The input flexibility is limited, especially when it comes to text entry, but most people are just doom scrolling anyway.

I just realized that a MUCH simpler version of the spacer's canteen can be achieved by using a plain water bladder and bite valve. Since the yinrih have prehensile paws, they can just squeeze the bladder to get the positive pressure they need for the water to flow out.
