The forward seat is for the pilot, who drives the mech and handles main weapons. The rear seat is for the squire, who maintains the mech&#039;s systems and sometimes handles secondary weapons. The paw keyers may have gyroscopes and accelerometers to allow for a degree of motion control, although not to the extent afforded by paw gauntlets, which aren&#039;t used because there&#039;s a lot more going on with a full-sized mech compared to a micro mech.<br /> <br /> Full sized mechs aren&#039;t piloted remotely because there&#039;s input lag and a loss of situational awareness that comes with remote sensor feeds.
