Damsback

Damsback (Commonthroat rDfFrkg lit. back continent) is the continent on the planet Yih on which the Yinrih evolved. The use of the term "back" (as in anatomy) refers to vulpithecine dams carrying their kits on their back, and is used in a similar way to the English cradle to mean origin. The continent straddles the planet's equator and stretches down to the southern pole. The equatorial region hosts a lush rainforest bisected by a broad river. The yinrih's urheimat is on the southern bank of this river.
